Eligibility Criteria for AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test)

To apply for AFCAT, candidates must meet the following requirements:

1. Nationality

  • Must be a citizen of India.

2. Age Limit

Upper age limit for Flying Branch is relaxable to 26 years for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India).

20 to 24 years (at the time of course start)
Ground Duty (Tech/Non-Tech)
20 to 26 years

3. Educational Qualification

Final year students are eligible to apply, subject to proof of passing the degree course before training begins.
Branch Qualification
Flying Branch
Graduation with minimum 60% marks in any discipline + Physics & Maths in 10+2
Ground Duty (Technical)
B.E./B.Tech with minimum 60% marks
Ground Duty (Non-Technical)
Graduation (minimum 3 years) with at least 60% marks

4. Marital Status

  • Candidates must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course.
