Class 6 Exam Pattern (100 Marks)

The exam is 2 hours long with 80 Questions. Scoring high in Mental Ability is mandatory.

50% Mental Ability

Class 9 Exam Pattern (100 Marks)

The exam is 2.5 hours long. The syllabus is based on Class 8 NCERT.

Phase I: Basics & Fundamentals

Month 1-3. We revisit school textbooks to ensure the child understands concepts before solving tricks. Focus on Tables, Reading Skills, and Handwriting.

Phase II: Syllabus Coverage

Month 4-8. Systematically covering the entrance exam syllabus (Maths, GK, Intelligence, Language). Weekly unit tests.

Phase III: OMR & Exam Mode

JNVST FAQs

What defines a 'Rural' candidate?

To claim the 75% Rural Quota, a child must have studied Class 3, 4, and 5 in a recognized school located in a government-notified rural area. One day of schooling in an urban area disqualifies this quota.

Can I apply to a JNV in another district?

No. You can only apply to the JNV located in the same district where you are currently studying (Class 5 for Class 6 entry, or Class 8 for Class 9 entry).

Is there an interview for Navodaya?

No, unlike Sainik Schools or RMS, there is no interview or medical exam for JNV admission. Admission is based solely on the written test merit and document verification.
