Full Exam Name: All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination

Sainik Schools in India are a network of schools established to prepare young boys for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA) and other military academies. Founded in 1961 under the Ministry of Defence, these schools provide education from Class 6 to 12, integrating a robust academic curriculum with military training, physical fitness, and discipline. Admission to Sainik Schools is highly competitive, based on an all-India entrance exam, ensuring merit-based selection.

The schools focus on nurturing qualities such as leadership, patriotism, and a sense of duty. Graduates of Sainik Schools often pursue careers in the armed forces, embodying the schools’ mission to develop well-rounded individuals committed to serving the nation with distinction and honor.
