Age Limit: 16.5 to 19.5 Years

Education: 12th Class Pass / Appearing

Army Wing: 12th Pass (Any Stream)

Air Force/Navy: 12th Pass with Physics & Maths

Height: Min 157cm (Men) / 152cm (Women)*

Note: 10% of marks in Geography/Science questions are often linked to practical applications. We cover this via our "Applied Science" modules.

Stage 1: The Written Exam (900 Marks)

Paper 1: Mathematics

Stage 2: SSB Interview (900 Marks)

TAT, WAT, SRT, Self Description. Testing your subconscious.

Day 3 & 4: GTO

Cadet FAQs

Can Arts/Commerce students apply for NDA?

Yes, Arts and Commerce students can apply for the Army Wing of the NDA. However, they are not eligible for the Air Force or Naval wings, which require Physics and Maths.

What about eyesight and glasses?

Candidates with glasses can apply, but there are specific limits (Myopia/Hypermetropia). Lasik is permitted only after a certain age (usually 20+), which doesn't apply to NDA. We recommend a preliminary medical check-up which we facilitate.

Is 12th percentage important?

There is no minimum percentage requirement in Class 12th to appear for NDA. You just need to pass. However, knowledge of the subjects is crucial to clear the Written Exam.
